I am always reading and thinking about my next trip or two，so when I get a chance I can just take off and have an idea of what to expect. I went to Lake Tahoe alone last winter vocation. It is an American treasure. It's famed for its crystal-clear water and its size. Its average depth is 989 feet. Surrounded by the imperious peaks of the Sierra Nevada，its waters soak up the colors of the sky and the mountains，creating a kaleidoscope of sparkling blues，greens，and purples;a sight that will lure you back year after year.

Not only the water but also the land near it is amazing as well. This is the best value in the world for a ski vacation or a summer in the mountains. There are countless fun things to do: skiing，snowmobiling，and ski boarding in the winter. After a pleasant day on the slopes or by the lake，people can retreat to a beautiful， comfortable hotel for relaxation and rest! I just love it!

I’d like to talk about Lake Toba which is located in the middle of the northern part of the Indonesian island of Sumatra near Medan, it is the largest lake in Indonesia and the largest volcanic lake in the world. Lake Toba is the site of a super volcanic eruption that occurred hundreds of thousands of years ago, a massive climate- changing event. The eruption is believed to be the largest explosive eruption anywhere on Earth in human history.

Luckily, I have once visited this beautiful lake with my Indonesian classmates. We first started at the ferry port. Riding a ferry boat, we came to the island in the center of the lake. We stayed on this island for two days and interestingly we discovered that there is another lake on this island and it has yet another island in it too. Anyway, I think it is the best trip I’ve ever had, very relaxing and the view from the mountain on the central island is truly wonderful.

我想谈谈多巴湖，它位于印尼苏门答腊岛北部中部，靠近棉兰，是印尼最大的湖，也是世界上最大的火山湖。托巴湖是数十万年前发生的超级火山爆发的所在地，这是一次大规模的气候变化事件。这次喷发被认为是人类历史上地球上最大的爆炸性喷发。
