I am going to tell you about an experience that I achieved the meritorious winner,the third level of the award,in the Mathematical Contest in Modeling.It is an annually-held competition that originated in the United States,now attracting thousands of international teams of three undergraduates or postgraduates to participate.Candidates have to analyze the given question,establish a model for it and then write a formal academic paper within 96 hours.

我要告诉你的经历是，我在数学建模大赛中获得优异奖，也就是第三等级的奖项。。它是一个发源于美国、每年都会举办的竞赛，现在吸引着上千支由3名本科生或者研究生组成的队伍参加。参赛者必须在96个小时里分析给定的题目，为它建立模型，并写出正式的学术论文。

As a student majoring in social science,my specialty lies in the analysis and essay writing.So to win this competition,the first thing I did was to find two teammates from the mathematics department to make up for this shortcoming.Thanks to social media,I easily found the contact details of two straight-A students and asked if they would like to team up with me.I had expected it would take some persuasion,but quite to my surprise,they said yes soon after I introduced this competition.

作为一名社会科学的学生，我的强项在于分析与论文写作。所以为了赢得比赛，我做的第一件事就是找两名来自数学系的队友，以弥补这一缺点。感谢社交媒体的出现，我轻易找到了两个优秀学生的联系方式，询问他们是否想跟我组队。我本来想着得花些功夫才能说服他们。没想到，他们在听完我的介绍之后很快就答应了。

Because of its intense schedule,we had clearly divided the task to maximize our efficiency.On the first day,we together analyzed the problem,decided on its key elements,and came up with our solution.Then they started building the model,and I took a rest to store enough stamina for the later paper writing.In the last 12 hours,we came together again to discuss if there was any place to perfect and did the final revision.

因为它紧张的日程，为了最大化效率，我们进行了明确的分工。第一天，我们一起分析问题，决定它的要素，并提出解决方案。然后他们开始搭建模型，而我则休息一下，为之后的论文写作储备体力。在最后的12个小时，我们会再次聚在一起，讨论是否有什么需要完成的地方，并做最后的检查。

I was so excited to learn that we won the award,not only because it proved that we were better than most other teams around the world,but also because it would be a highlight on my resume,gaining me a sharp edge in the competitive labor market and helping me find a decent job.

得知我们获奖之后我很激动，不仅仅因为它证明我们比世界上大多数队伍要优秀，还因为它会成为我简历上的一个亮点，为我在竞争激烈的劳动力市场上获取优势，并帮助我找到一个体面的工作。
